As Senior Associate of Strategic Communications at Prosper Strategies, Kate Diveley leads the development of content marketing and communications strategies for clients and composes compelling thought leadership pieces. A blend of creativity and results-driven thinking guide Kate in all the work she does.
Kate started her career creating tactical marketing plans and writing clever, pithy copy for clients ranging from research foundations and educational technology platforms all the way to frozen pizza, tanning salons and hair products. She also spearheaded a social media campaign for Blood Cancer Awareness Month for a research foundation early in her career. She was attracted to Prosper Strategies by a desire to focus her marketing and writing skills honed in the consumer marketing space on work that makes a difference in the world.
Today, Kate’s primary focus is on client strategy and content development, including fundraising letters and emails, blogs, whitepapers, media guest articles and other engaging targeted messaging. Kate is an integral part of every step of the content process, from developing the overall marketing and content strategy, finding a client’s unique brand voice and, finally, writing and editing final pieces. She has led the development of messaging strategies, fundraising pieces, and media articles for nonprofits ranging from the Great Books Foundation to the McCormick Foundation.
In her free time, Kate volunteers with The Field Museum and Safe Humane Chicago amongst other organizations. She also studies comedy writing and improv at the Second City, where she exercises her creative voice to bring to client communications strategies.
Kate attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she received a B.S. in Advertising and a professional certificate in public relations.
