PeopleStakeholder Engagement

Involve your program participants, donors and other stakeholders in your nonprofit’s work.

Your organization cares deeply about the people and communities you work with through your programs and services. But are you engaging them as you establish your Focus, set your Strategy, and carry out your day-to-day work? Seeking their input is an essential practice for any organization that cares about equity, inclusion, and asset-based or community-led approaches to social change.

At Prosper Strategies, we believe in establishing regular practices for getting input and insights from the people your organization serves, as well as other stakeholders like volunteers, donors and policymakers.

Our stakeholder engagement work focuses on:

Advisory Board Development

Recruit an advisory board representative of your organization’s diverse stakeholders, meet regularly to get their input on work in progress, and involve them in the decisions that are made as a result of their insights.

Stakeholder Input

Gather stakeholder input on an as-needed basis to inform specific initiatives, such as a rebranding or the exploration of a new program. Stakeholder input is often captured through surveys, interviews and focus groups.

Governing Board Development to Include Stakeholder Representation

Change the makeup of your governing board to ensure it reflects the range and diversity of your organization’s stakeholders, with a particular emphasis on including clients/program participants.

Stakeholder Engagement Success Stories

  • Having just completed an extensive 18 month rebranding initiative, I couldn’t be more thrilled to recommend Prosper to agencies looking for quality, forward-thinking results. We found the entire team to be intuitive and extremely thorough in their efforts to understand our work and vision. Throughout the entire process they gained our trust and presented insightful copy, artwork and comprehensive roll out plans that impressed not only our staff, but our board of directors. We went into our new brand launch 100% confident with the results of their collective hard work and have received glowing reviews from our stakeholders. Prosper was the exact match we needed to confidently rebrand after 43 years.
